CarCab was created around a simple idea: when someone is already driving from one city to another, the empty seats and available trunk space can help other people move too.

Drivers post trips they already plan to make. Passengers can reserve seats, compare details, and travel between supported cities without treating the trip like an instant taxi request.

A driver can carry a passenger, an eligible package, or both when the route, timing, vehicle space, and delivery requirements fit the trip.

Families or groups can reserve available seats together. A solo passenger can also book the remaining seats when they prefer to travel without sharing the back seat.

Our mission

We make intercity movement more practical by helping drivers, passengers, and senders coordinate trips that are already happening. Riders get more accessible city-to-city options, senders can move eligible packages faster, and drivers can offset the real cost of the road.

Drivers post planned trips

  1. A driver posts a supported city-to-city trip at least 2 hours before departure and up to 3 months ahead.
  2. The driver sets the route, departure time, price, seats, package space, and pickup style.
  3. On the way, the driver can carry a passenger, deliver a package, or do both.
  4. The driver app tracks travel-expense offset amounts, ratings, passenger history, deliveries, and trip status.

Passengers choose how to ride

  1. Passengers can search for a driver-posted trip that matches their destination, reserve it, and pay.
  2. They can also post a trip request and compare offers from drivers traveling the same direction.
  3. The pickup can be a driver-selected meeting point or door-to-door when the driver offers it.
  4. Women passengers can use the women-to-women driver preference when the route has an available woman driver.
  5. Group Ride lets one passenger reserve all available seats for family, friends, or a quieter solo trip.

Packages move same day or next day

  1. Senders enter a pickup address, dropoff address, recipient details, package information, and value.
  2. Businesses, garages, warehouses, and families can move urgent parts, tires, tools, documents, and inventory faster.
  3. Delivery codes, proof, declared value, and signature options stay in the app flow.

Real-time visibility

CarCab is designed so senders can track an active package delivery, and riders or drivers can share live trip progress with trusted contacts when the trip starts. Emergency calling and CarCab support access belong close to the trip details.

CarCab provides the technology

CarCab helps users discover one another, review trip information, reserve, pay, communicate, and document completion. Drivers provide transportation independently, and availability depends on real routes posted by the community.

Trust and account sync

  1. Profile, phone, email, rating, payment, and history stay synced across web and mobile.
  2. Passengers are encouraged to verify their identity to reassure the community.
  3. Drivers and passengers rate each other to keep service quality visible.
