Post your city-to-city route, choose the seats and package space you want to offer, and review requests that match the trip you already planned. CarCab is built for planned routes, not on-demand dispatch.

How driving works

  1. Create your driver profile with identity, license, vehicle, insurance, and payout information.
  2. Post your planned route with departure time, seats, package capacity, luggage rules, and price.
  3. Review passenger or package requests before accepting what fits your route and vehicle.
  4. Use the CarCab Driver app to accept, start, update, and complete trips or deliveries.

Driver requirements

  • Meet the minimum driving age required by CarCab and local law.
  • Have your own vehicle in good working condition.
  • Hold a valid driver license, vehicle registration, and personal auto insurance.
  • Authorize a background check through Checkr using a US Social Security number.

No credit check

CarCab does not check your credit. The background check is for platform safety, identity, and driving eligibility with your authorization, and may be supported by Checkr or another approved provider.

Use the driver app

Posting trips, accepting orders, starting rides, pickup, handoff, proof, and completion stay in the driver app so operational controls remain secure.

Service quality matters

Drivers are expected to behave professionally, satisfy customers, follow delivery instructions, and maintain good ratings from passengers and senders.

Insurance disclosure

A document accepted by CarCab does not mean your insurer has agreed to cover rides or delivery activity. You are responsible for confirming that your auto policy permits your actual CarCab use.
